JOB SUMMARY
As a member of The UPS Store team, the Print Production Lead will use their knowledge and expertise of print products and production methods, software applications and graphic design to complete print projects for customers of The UPS Store.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and
AUTHORITIES
Perform all areas of the print production process including print production workflow, schedules and production materials. Apply knowledge of print products and production methods such as paper considerations, file formatting, and digital production print output settings to manage throughput of jobs. Ensure timely job completion of all print jobs. Manage quality control to ensure finished product is correct and meets customer and The UPS Store quality standards. Operate and maintain print and finishing equipment. Assist with ordering paper and supplies as needed. Educate customers on print product offerings (e.g. digital printing, wide format, print products, specialty products, and binding and finishing services). Brainstorm and mock-up design ideas. Perform other The UPS Store duties as assigned. Other general housekeeping responsibilities as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years of relevant print industry experience 2-year degree or experience in graphic design or related field.
Software Proficiency including:
-Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), Microsoft Office Suite, Fiery Command Workstation This is a high volume, high attention-to-detail position
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent customer service. Excellent verbal and written (email) communication skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Manual hand dexterity required to operate printers, cutting, folding and binding machinery.
