Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring the production plan and manufacturing goals are carried out for assigned department using all personnel, materials, and equipment to produce a quality product, built, and shipped on time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Hold regular departmental meetings to communicate schedules, company/departmental news, and discuss issues/resolutions. Allocate personnel as necessary to meet production needs most efficiently. Ensure that all reviews are completed on a timely basis. Ensure that all SHAPE increases are warranted and that skills have been acquired prior to the increase given. Ensure personnel within the department are cross-trained so absences, vacations, etc. will create minimum disruption. Adequately provide for the safety of all employees in the department, including providing safety training, eliminating hazards, monitoring work conditions, ensuring good housekeeping, and maintaining security against unauthorized access. Maintain safety-related paperwork and complete required reports. Manage employee attendance and maintain records. Use good management practices to retain personnel. Ensure ISO policies and procedures are maintained and adhered to. Maintain rework report and corrective actions taken to eliminate root cause. Production ratios must be monitored, and continuous improvements sought. Using the master/departmental schedule, plan for materials, drawings, etc. to insure RTS meets highest levels. The master schedule should be broken down by Supervision and a departmental schedule developed and communicated. The departmental schedule should show, by unit, the RTS to the next internal customer based on the master schedules date for the next process to start. Manage departmental overtime according to policy. Ensure department enforces policies consistently and fairly. Perform one continuous improvement study every two months. This study should outline the problem; persons selected from department to do study; root cause; and corrective actions put in place and/or recommended upon completion of study. (Identify cost to fix problem and cost savings per fix). Develop and maintain a procedure for tracking budget/expenditures within department. Heavy hauling unit loading coordination with transport company. Supervise accessories parts loading coordination with truck drivers. Ensure storage units’ parts recondition coordination with shipping dept. Units parts inventory and condition report sheet Liaise with rigging contractor coordination (railcars)

• Adams Warnock Liaise with Logistics department, and support transportation vendor coordination (crating, transformer Wrapping), CSX Track inspection team coordination.

DOT shipping height and wide requirements coordination with /shipping/field service/quality. Training new loader on rigging basics, loading according to company shipping standards. Supervise pre shipping and quality walkaround Checklist. Impact recorders tracking and inventory of Lat-Lon’s. Supervise creation of packing list ref. Sheet 74,101,68,102, kit BOM 80M, and SP. Supervise crating parts coordination, gantry shipping usage coordination with other departments. Supervise the coordination materials readiness with corresponding departments. external/shipping/field service/quality to make sure that all outbound shipments are complete in good condition and on time. Supervise Test lab coordination. Ensure proper recording keeping, including pictures of loads, and BOL. Any duties assigned.

Experienced professional. 3-5 years manufacturing experience preferred at supervisory/management level. Strong preference for previous transformer industry experience. Strong communication skills.
