Fabrication Manager Confidential Priviately-Held Company Hampton, GA 30228 Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to oversee our fabrication department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication processes, including welding and cutting techniques, and will be responsible for managing a team of skilled fabricators. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that projects are completed on time, within specifications, and in compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities Lead and manage the fabrication team to ensure high-quality production of metal components. Interpret and work from schematics and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes. Utilize power tools and equipment for cutting, welding, and assembling metal parts. Perform stick welding and plasma cutting as needed for various projects. Ensure adherence to codes and standards relevant to fabrication practices. Conduct regular inspections of work performed to maintain quality control. Train team members on proper use of tools, safety protocols, and fabrication techniques. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize fabrication processes. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including materials used and time spent on tasks. Qualifications 5+ years of proven experience as a Fabrication Manager in an industrial manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments. Strong understanding of basic math skills for calculations related to fabrication tasks. Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to welding and fabrication. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings effectively. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
