Job Details:
SUMMARY The Processing Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring high production, quality, and yields while maintaining the safest working environment possible. This position demands a thorough understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.
Key Responsibilities Production Management:
Check daily production orders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
Team Coordination:
Ensure every position is filled before the start-up of the production line.
Ergonomics:
Oversee Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.
Machinery Oversight:
Ensure all machinery performs to the highest standard possible.
Compliance:
Ensure all workstations pass USDA Inspection.
Safety Promotion:
Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
Inventory Management:
Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
Team Building:
Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members, and provide encouragement to build the best team possible.
Human Relations:
Perform human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
Problem Solving:
Oversee various processing operations and collaborate with other supervisors to solve problems.
Quality Education:
Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
Record Keeping:
Keep records of reworked or returned product.
Additional Duties:
Perform other responsibilities as the need arises.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills helpful.
Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills.
Supervisory:
This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
Travel:
1-5 trips per year.
Location:
This is an onsite position located at the Camilla, GA facility.
