We are seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our automotive manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of production associates to ensure efficient workflow, quality output, and compliance with safety standards. This role plays a key part in meeting production targets and maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production workers on the manufacturing floor. Ensure production goals are met in terms of output, quality, cost, and safety. Monitor workflow, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality control, and safety regulations. Collaborate with maintenance, quality, logistics, and engineering teams to resolve production issues. Train, mentor, and evaluate production team members. Prepare shift reports, maintain records, and track production metrics. Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective action for quality or production issues. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices. Enforce company policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with labor agreements if applicable.
Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field (preferred). 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive. Strong knowledge of production processes, lean manufacturing, and safety protocols. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or rotating shifts as needed. Familiarity with ERP systems, production tracking software, and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of
ISO/TS 16949, IATF
16949, or similar quality standards is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced automotive production environment. Exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Standing, walking, and lifting may be required for extended periods.
