Our client, is a multinational automotive manufacturing corporation that designs, engineers, manufactures, and sells vehicles and mobility solutions, and is seeking a Aircraft Assembly Team Lead to join their team.

Oxford, GA Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Aircraft Assembly Team Lead to lead a team of technicians responsible for the daily operations of aircraft assembly and integration. The ideal candidate will bring experience in both low- and high-volume aerospace manufacturing environments, demonstrate strong leadership, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Supervise and lead a team of technicians to meet daily operational goals for aircraft assembly and integration. + Facilitate daily production meetings to communicate goals, priorities, and ensure seamless coordination across shifts. + Assist in developing and optimizing low-volume production processes, and support the transition to high-volume manufacturing. + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and enhance team capabilities. + Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental health policies, and procedures. + Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and test procedures to assemble, install, inspect, and troubleshoot aircraft systems from component level to full build. + Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across process, design, and technology to enhance quality and efficiency.

Required Skills:

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent. + 3-5 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry. + Strong knowledge of aircraft manufacturing methods, including: + Wire harness fabrication and installation + Mechanical system assembly + Composite fabrication + Full aircraft assembly + Understanding of aircraft safety practices, tool control, FOD prevention, and industry standards. + Effective organizational and time management skills. + Proficient with Google Suite and general computer applications. + Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. + Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. + Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted, bend, and stand/walk for extended periods. + Must possess good visual acuity. + Familiarity with design controls, ISO, and AS9100 standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Knowledge of IPC 610/620 and

AC43.13-B

standards. + Experience using MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software. + Experience with high-voltage wiring, battery systems, and electric motors. + Exposure to aircraft configuration management and FAA conformity processes.
