Job Summary:
Creative Plastics is seeking a motivated and experienced Supervisor for our Fabrication Department. The ideal candidate will oversee the assembly and production of high-quality plastic displays, ensuring all processes are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards. This role will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and production system transactions, while promoting a culture of responsibility and accountability within the team.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Supervise, lead and support the fabrication team to ensure the safe and efficient production of plastic displays, maintaining high-quality standards throughout the process. Supervise and coordinate daily operations within the fabrication department, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and according to specifications. Ensure that all system transactions related to inventory and production are performed accurately and on time, including updating records and tracking materials. Foster a culture of responsibility and accountability within the team by setting clear expectations, promoting best practices, and encouraging continuous improvement. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all plastic displays meet customer and company standards for design, durability, and functionality. Identify and resolve any production issues or delays, implementing corrective actions as needed to minimize downtime and disruptions. Train and mentor team members on fabrication techniques, safety protocols, and company procedures to ensure a high level of performance and compliance. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, quality control, and project management) to ensure smooth coordination and efficient workflow. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with company safety policies. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Strong focus on quality control, ensuring products meet specifications before moving to the next production stage. Experience with basic hand tools and adhesives, or the ability to quickly learn to use them safely and effectively. Ability to work in a variety of roles. Strong leadership skills. Strong project management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to utilize the tact and diplomacy required to foster a team environment while keeping projects on schedule and budget. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Supervision Received:
Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to the manager. Qualifications and Education Requirements 1-2 years of relevant experience in supervisory position in a manufacturing environment. Must be hands-on Previous experience in an assembly, manufacturing, or production role is preferred but not required. Experience reading GD&T drawings (geometric, dimension, and tolerance) a plus. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
Stooping:
Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
Standing:
Standing for moderate levels of time. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
Walking:
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. In frequently more than 30 minutes at a time. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
