Shipping Superintendent House of Raeford Louisiana LLC Arcadia, LA 71001 Manage shipping department following procedures and adjusting, as necessary, to meet shipping schedules, increase efficiencies and meet or exceed output and budgeted objectives Ensure Supervisors accurately completed and recorded as required (i.e. departmental reports, attendance/staffing, inbound and outbound trucks, etc.) Identify and communicate opportunities for process optimization (throughput, waste reduction, product quality, labor, etc.) and/or reduce/eliminate repeat deficiencies (i.e. hold product, accidents, downtime, etc.) Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure a food safe and sanitary environment, following all customer specifications and USDA requirements Mentor, coach and train/ cross-train Supervisors, encouraging career development; provide consistent feedback concerning strengths and areas in need of improvement. Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions on a fair and consistent basis with the involvement of HR for hourly direct reports Follow and promote all safety initiatives, (i.e. wear and ensure others wear appropriate PPE in area where mandatory) helping to maintain a zero accident and food safe culture. Work corroboratively with other departments/shifts ensuring departmental or location goals are met or exceeded Learn, understand, and adhere to current Union negotiated contract Perform additional duties as assigned, including working with the Quality Assurance team members daily to ensure Quality and customer expectations are achieved Ensuring that all company policies, along with documented Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP’s) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are enforced and followed up daily The ability to understand and assimilate all guidelines regarding current HACCP plans is paramount Works with the Assistant Plant Manager in properly staffing for current shifts shipping needs Monitors inbound and outbound freight output constantly to ensure KPI goals are met or exceeded Works with other management staff to help maintain labor cost Fosters and promotes teamwork among all direct reports

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to communicate effectively with scheduler, operations and customers, manage 3 shifts, and manage labor cost. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Regular attendance is required. Some weekend work may be required.
