Job Summary:
Under the direction ofthe Production Manager, will guide and support the dailyactivities/processes in the Filling, Bulk Receiving and Processingdepartments following operating procedures or other generally acceptedguidelines. This role will be “on-the-floor” providing ongoing supportof the daily departmental operations and may be on or off-line as neededor determined by the Manager. The incumbent must be a team player,willing to do what needs to be done for the overall good of the company;may include additional duties/responsibilities as needed or requestedwhich are not stated in this job description.
Core Hours:
1:00pm to9:30pm (Monday – Friday)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provideall aspects of leadership for Production, Filling, Receiving and BlowMold employees. Personnel responsibilities include, but not limited to:shift scheduling, team building, maintaining high level of motivation &morale, training, conflict resolution, performance evaluations,attendance monitoring and disciplinary action where appropriate. Leadthe team in all aspects of promoting the company safety program,immediately identifying and eliminating risks and driving safe workinghabits and behaviors. Ensure full compliance with all OSHA regulationsand GMP’s. Work jointly with production control, customer service andWarehousing to ensure order fulfillment requirements are met accuratelyand on time. Maintain solid customer satisfaction levels relating toquality and accuracy while ensuring the highest level of operationalefficiencies. Operational responsibilities to include, but not limitedto: inventory management, , shift start meetings, create & implementtraining processes, housekeeping, research/resolve filling errors andimplement corrective actions.
Equipment/Machinery:
Ensure equipment isproperly maintained and fully operational, work jointly with themaintenance organization on all equipment/machinery issues. AdditionalDuties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
5-7years experience in milk/food production with at least 3 years at asupervisory level in a production environment. Experienced in inventorymanagement systems. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Skills andCompetencies:
Self-motivated and the ability to positively coach andmotivate others. Strong written & verbal communication skills,comfortable in speaking before groups. Proficient with MS Outlook Excel,Word & PowerPoint.
