To ensure employees are trained, and the Master Sanitation Schedule is followed by completing duties and tasks within the specified frequencies. Responsibilities Plans, coordinates, monitors, directs and continually improves all aspects of the sanitation function. Leads the sanitation group to meet its cleaning responsibilities within available time schedules. Responsible for ensuring complete training of all employees for proper sanitation procedures, safety procedures, lockout-tagout, emergency evacuation, monitor employee GMP and HACCP programs to maintain company and USDA requirements. Responsible for ensuring that employees are wearing the correct PPE. Ensures that all equipment is setup and tested prior to startup of for the following day. Manages chemical usage and supply control programs for inventories, operational and cost efficiency. Conducts full sanitation audits relating to procedures, quality, safety and tear downs for compliance. Monitors equipment for routine maintenance /repair for GMP compliance. Reviews performance, provides coaching & counseling, mentoring as needed to increase present performance. Assures that the work force receives adequate training and supplemental review on the safe and effective use of equipment and supplies. Maintain Environmental Microbiological test results are within the acceptable limits. To ensure adequate resources are available to achieve food safety and quality objectives and to support the development, implementation and maintenance and ongoing improvement of the BRC system.” Responsible for upholding, following and maintaining the requirements of the BRC Food Safety Code for Manufacturing. Other duties as may be assigned or volunteered for. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Experience working with-in USDA/FDA, Facility. Experience with processes such as HACCP, SSOP and GMP is required. Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level Required Computer skills-working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and e-mail system. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, generate enthusiasm and build effective working relationships with employees at all levels. English/Spanish bilingual capability Able to communicate, make logical decisions and travel around the facility. Must be able to assess that equipment is sanitized fully and properly. Preferred Prefer college degree or 7+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with a strong preference for the food industry. 5+ years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
