Overview
Responsibilities for this position include:
Maintain a safe work environment for employees and enforce safety policies and safe behaviors.
Plan, organize and coordinate work of mechanics on crew.
Interface routinely with Production, Production Control, Planning and Facilities in order to provide daily material/heavy equipment support throughout the Shipyard.
Work with all shifts/facilities to provide an accurate daily trailer report/pass down
Effectively communicate and maintain a productive working relationship with the Hourly Team, Salaried Team, and Union Representatives.
Provide leadership and mentoring to employees under your charge.
Use Work Force Management (WFM) to verify employee time cards.
Responsibilities
High School Diploma or GED required.
Qualifications
2+ years of heavy equipment experience (Class A CDL, Forklift, Loader, Lull, etc.) required.
Supervisory experience preferred.
PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite) required.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
