Overview
Oversee the lockout and tags-plus (LO/TP) program, trials preparations, and trials coordination. To influence operational readiness, facilitate procedure creation and maintenance, training, and technological improvements.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain a safe and efficient LO/TP program
Ensure LO/TP Coordinators are overseeing and approving the application, verification, and removal of LO/TP systems to protect all workers form hazardous energy sources while working on ships and ship sections
Support test management in coordinating test activities involving hazardous energy sources
Establish key performance measures for assessing and continuously improving the lockout tags-plus program
Participate in sea trials as trial coordinator as needed
Perform root cause analysis and problem resolution
Conduct quality assurance to ensure compliance with requirements including but not limited to 29CFR1915.89 and

SPM-S-21

Responsibilities
High School Diploma or GEDrequired
Bachelor Degree in Technical Field or equivalent experience in Marine or Industrial Manufacturing, Merchant Marine operations, or U.S. Navy operations preferred
Graduate BIW Apprentice or PDP preferred
Qualifications
Power and auxiliary systems operation or equivalent experience/education required 3-5 years FLS II, 5+ years FLS III
Marine or industrial environment experience with OSHA Control of Hazardous Energy processes preferred

NFPA 70E

Electrical Safety process and procedures preferred
Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, with proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Sharepoint is preferred
Ability to work and communicate cross functionally and with all levels of customers inside and outside the Company
Experience working with represented employees preferred
