Job Description M Assists Supervisor in administering disciplinary action when needed. Communicates issues involving safety, quality, and production to Supervisor. Helps ensure the safety of employees in work area by immediately reporting hazards; ensuring employees perform proper housekeeping; and monitoring employees’ proper use of PPE and adherence to safety policies and procedures. Ensures employees have proper instructions and that goals are clearly communicated throughout the shift.

Receiving:

Controls all cycle counting in area. Arranges all work schedules for Receiving employees. Schedules trucks of copper/hairpins/etc. for unloading. Ensures all parts are received and stored in the proper manner.

Other Responsibilities:

Motivates employees through positive and constructive coaching. Performs housekeeping in and around work area. Flexibility to work in other areas of the plant, as required. Manages multiple tasks at a time. Attends off-shift training when required. Works flexible hours and overtime when required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Knowledge of and experience in Receiving department including process flow, equipment, and products. Effective communication skills. Demonstrated leadership ability. Knowledge of and ability to use Computer Software Inventory Management systems. Knowledge of and ability to use SAP. Ability to drive forklift and box truck.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to remain in a standing position for extended time periods. SAFETY Uses all required PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, arm guards) as outlined in safety policy. Supports Safety department by implementing and encouraging all current and new safety procedures. QUALITY Maintains quality standards for all parts and/or products produced in area by ensuring all employees receive proper training and that all quality policies and procedures, including first piece inspection, are being followed.
