We are looking for a talented and experienced Production Supervisor to join our production team in Byhalia, MS. In this role you will be responsible for the overall safety and effectiveness of their respective shift and communication and collaboration within the production department to secure optimum output from the production unit. What you bring:

Your ability to spearhead the daily production operations and fostering the growth of the designated area.
Ensuring seamless execution of the production schedule with precision.
Collaborating in the formulation of protocols and tools necessary to optimize operational efficiency, grounded on accurate data.
Proposing enhancements to tools and methodologies to elevate performance.
Motivating team members to actively engage in the ongoing enhancement of tools and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 12 or more hours throughout the course of a day.
Plant environment will be dusty with airborne wool particles.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced high volume production facility.
Must be able to work any shift based on business needs.
Some lifting, bending, stooping, walking up/downstairs, fast-paced walking for some distance.
The ability to lift 60 pounds and 120 pounds with another person.
The ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions for several hours daily.

What you will be doing:

Oversees all operational activities throughout the shift, ensuring that assigned employees are adequately trained for their tasks.
Coordinate schedules, resources, and materials to meet production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of Lock Out Tag Out procedures and ensure that all operators comply with these protocols before proceeding with equipment lockout.
Enforces adherence to company policy regarding the wearing of appropriate safety gear by crew members.
Maintains a clean and organized workspace is essential for efficient and safe operations, a responsibility upheld by the Production Supervisor.
Oversees the proper disposal of garbage and recyclables.
Assumes responsibility for packaging and distributing all products from the production line to the Warehouse.
Oversees quality checks on items reaching the packaging line and ensure the smooth operation of working areas, including the correct labeling of products.
Participate in or lead lean manufacturing initiatives, root cause analysis, and process optimization efforts.
Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to team members to ensure skill development and continuous improvement.
Serve as a liaison between workers, maintenance teams, engineering, and management to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
