Essential Functions:

• Manage the activities of the shop floor, under the direction of the Operations Manager and follow all established procedures and approved processes.
• Supervise all production operations of Automotive Mechanical Assembly.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill scheduled deliveries.
• Execute decisions in order to solve problems while conducting his/her responsibilities, ensuring production plans are met and operations are within approved budgets.
• Understands and complies with all health/safety rules and procedures.

Requirements:

• Will have a thorough knowledge of all assembly techniques, manufacturing methods, and related equipment.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Must be familiar with product construction and application.
• Must have complete knowledge of production scheduling and shop operations.
• This position requires that the person be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently.
• Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and easily adapt to changing situations.
• Will be computer literate, particularly in the shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge and adherence of all safety and environmental policies.

Quality System Awareness Physical Demands:

• Some physical exertion required
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk and occasionally bend and move about the facility

Personal Protection Equipment:

• Safety glasses are required
• Steel toe shoes are required

Work Environment:

• Works in an office and manufacturing environment
• Exposure to dust, odors, fumes and noise

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalency required
• 4 -8 years experience in an industry/manufacturing
