Job Description
Production Supervisor 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 700 South South Battleground Avenue, Grover, NC 28073 1.
Safety:
1. Ensure company policies are adhered to with special emphasis on safety. Responsible for inspecting employees’ PPE, equipment safety and work safety by following SOPs 2. Responsible for rejecting any personnel without proper PPE or clothing requirements to enter production area 3. Provide training and evaluate performance (monthly and yearly) with team members and communicate this with Human Resources 2.
Production:
1. Lead the team to complete production orders on time with good quality and compliant to any production order specifications 2. Support production team to assure process is followed and assure latest documentation is in place 3. Responsible for production line start-ups and shut-downs 4. Monitor machine performance during run time to detect potential problems and keep records in appropriate format 5. Responsible for the compliance, usefulness and accuracy of any process recorded from every process stage 6. Responsible for the hygiene and 5S maintenance on production lines at least once per shift and keep record by using shift change form 7. Check with QC for testing results within one hour after sample was given to QC and must sign an acknowledgement form showing receipt of the test results. Has authority to ask Machine Operator to follow up with Team Leader and sign appropriate paperwork 8. Responsible for production quality control and waste control. 9. Report machine issues for repair and know how to do basic machine maintenance 10. Conduct team briefing 11. Responsible for all paperwork 12. Maintain supplies and items needed for orders and safety 13. Responsible for giving HR any discrections on Payroll. example Notice of Absences, missed punches, etc. 14. Ramdon checks for face mask quality or bag quality 15. Hours are 8:30 to 5:30, however overtime may be needed at times. 16. All new hire, yearly training of Production Staff and communicate with Human Resources. 3.
Work coordination:
1. Coordinate resources to work on unplanned assignment and other situations 2. Prepare updates for oncoming Supervisor and review with oncoming Supervisor 3. Report issues with Management by communicating openly and honestly (holding daily/weekly meetings, comments box, etc.) 4. Problem-solving 1. Provide advice for process and safety concerns back to management preferably with reasonable suggestion for improvement 2. Be alert to methods of continuous improvements to increase efficiencies for examples, using different tools, process change or different workflows 3. Be available to react to issues as they arise and work on root cause analysis to prevent issues from recurring and implement corrective action plans. 4. Maintain proper communication between crews, management and other departments 5. Other duties as assigned
