Responsibilities:

During theproject phase, the Line Lead (Technician) – Inspection will supportcommissioning/qualification activities required to bring automatedvision systems into service as well as supporting site operationalreadiness activities. This position may require domestic travelwith the opportunity for international travel based on programneed. This role is expected to become a subject matter expert forthe visual inspection equipment/process and will be directlyinvolved with training future new hires. After project phasecompletion, this role will be responsible for line leadership,daily operations, development of operators, ensuring compliancewith all policies, procedures, and ensuring resources are scheduledaccordingly per the daily production plan. Key Objectives Providecommissioning, qualification, and operational readiness supportduring project phase. Support Site Leadership to build a diverseand capable site organization by delivering area operationalprocedures, quality processes and controls for the ParenteralInspection area. Provide leadership on manufacturing floor ensuringhigh level of safety, quality, and productivity to maintainreliable supply of products to patients.

Technical leader:

Keyresource for troubleshooting and functions as the primary point ofcontact for issue escalation on the shop floor. Responsible foradministering technical training and ensuring all operators aretrained to perform tasks. Assist Supervisor in development andperformance evaluations of shift operators. Key liaison betweenoperation and support functions. Line Lead is a “working leader” byoperating the equipment and leading the shift operations asrequired to meet production schedule. Assists in checking executiondocumentation (PMX, SAP, Cleaning Logs, etc.) Drives keydepartmental objectives including improving safety performance,reducing deviations, improving productivity, and trainingcompliance. Line Leads are the back up for the Supervisor.

BasicRequirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 yearsrelevant experience, (education may be substituted for experiencewith manager discretion) Demonstrated leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to train and coach others Ability toeffectively communicate (written and verbal) Flexibility andproblem-solving skills Basic computer skills (desktop software) arerequired. Must Pass a “fitness for duty” physical exam Ability towork 12-hour shifts on days (2-2-3 schedule) Ability to workovertime as required Ability to travel during Asset Delivery tosupport program needs, and Qualified candidates must be legallyauthorized to be employed in the United States. Scientific/technical degrees or certificationsPreferred 4 years relevant experience Knowledge of current GoodManufacturing Practices (CGMPs) Previous experience working inoperations/pharmaceutical industry Previous experience utilizingautomated inspection equipment and/or experience with manual visualinspection processes Previous experience with ManufacturingExecution Systems and electronic batch release. Knowledge of leanmanufacturing principles Experience with start-ups of technologytransfers Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity

AdditionalInformation:

The position is for the Lilly Research Triangle Parksite. Position may require a short duration assignment of 2-6months in Indianapolis to establish specific device knowledge,establish global contacts, and provide production support.

Additionally, this position may require short (less than 1 month)international travel to support Factory Acceptance Testing ofequipment.
