Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor with a strong background in welding to lead a team in a heavy manufacturing environment. The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. This role requires a leader who understands industrial manufacturing processes and has direct experience managing welding, plating, or similar metal finishing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities across assigned work areas (welding, plating, fabrication).
  • Ensure production targets for safety, quality, delivery, and cost are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor workflow, material availability, equipment status, and staffing levels; adjust resources as necessary to meet production schedules.
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures; ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies.
  • Support training and cross-training initiatives to build a flexible and capable workforce.
  • Ensure all welding and plating operations are performed according to applicable standards, certifications, and customer specifications.
The ideal candidate:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in welding, plating, or metal finishing (direct hands-on experience required).
  • Prior experience supervising or leading production teams.
  • Working knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) and/or plating processes (electroplating, anodizing, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing safety protocols, quality control standards, and production best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, ERP systems).
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, lifting, exposure to heat, noise, etc.
