The Production Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and coordinating training for production employees to ensure safety, efficiency, quality, and compliance with company procedures. This includes focusing on both new hire onboarding and ongoing skill development. Production Trainer Your main responsibilities will be: Conduct hands-on training for new production employees, ensuring understanding of job duties, equipment operation, safety standards, and company policies. Work with quality to develop and update training materials including manuals, SOPs, visual aids, and work instructions. Evaluate employee performance during training periods and provide feedback and coaching. Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with training and operational standards. Partner with supervisors and leads to identify training needs and improve overall workforce capability. Maintain accurate training records and document certification/compliance requirements. Assist with cross-training initiatives to promote workforce flexibility. Support continuous improvement efforts, such as lean manufacturing or 5S practices. Must be willing to be flexible to fill in at various production positions as the need arises. Ability to train all personnel on the safe operation of all equipment, including forklifts. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Technical degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Prior experience in training, mentoring, or leadership role a plus. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and production processes. Microsoft experience is a plus. Knowledge of quality core Tools. Spanish and English communication. Computer Knowlagent (Power point, excel, Microsoft based programs) Ability to read blueprints.
