The ideal candidate will have a background in management, knowledge of production workflows, and the ability to lead a team of skilled workers. Duties Supervise daily production activities to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Handle production quality and food safety measures, including SQF standards and HACCP requirements. Screening applications and interviewing new candidates Review hours and approve vacation Employee relations and disciplinary actions Planning and scheduling of employees and workload Maintain material pars for specialty products and custom work. Develop and maintain new business projects, fitting them into the current workload. Communicate with management on department status and improvements Facilitate equipment repairs and maintenance schedule Work directly with the product specialist on samples and new business Qualifications Proven experience in a production management role within the cheese department. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively motivate and manage a diverse team. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
