Develops and implements plans toensure KPIs are met, including maintaining safety culture andensuring continuous improvement through the utilization ofButterball Operating System Solutions (BOSS). Supports and empowerschange at the floor level.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of a team of entrylevel individual contributors. Provides guidance, coaching, andsupport to ensure successful completion of tasks. Participates inHR activities such as hiring, terminations, performance management,goal setting, team member development, scheduling, etc. Enforcessystems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures teamunderstands and follows all safety policies and procedures.

Conducts routine safety and quality audits providing on-the-floorcoaching as needed.

  • Serves as a role model andensures team’s understanding of, and compliance, with all companypolicies and regulatory guidelines (including
USDA, OSHA, DOL,EEOC, HACCP

etc.)

  • Accountable for team’s adherenceto manufacturing protocols, product specifications, qualityguidelines.
  • Ensures effective use of labor, tools,supplies, and equipment to maximize efficiency and capacity.
  • Conducts routine scanning of department to identify andsolve problems (e.g. equipment operations, processes, etc.) orescalate as needed. Identifies and addresses needs for furthertraining and development.
  • Maintains accurate andtimely records of production data. Responsible for identifying andresolving gaps in efficiency and quality.
  • Updatesdaily/weekly department reports (i.e. production reports,attendance reports, preflight check list, staffing reports,training reports).
  • Participates ininvestigations (e.g. accidents, employee complaints, etc.).Conducts initial investigation, ensures all information is gatheredand properly documented, and resolves limited employee complaints
  • Participates in department / facility meetings.

Provides consultation and advice drawing from day-to-day practicalexperience in their area of responsibility.

  • Minimum Qualifications(Educations & Experience)
  • 4+ years of relevantexperience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed inthe role
  • 1+ year of leadership experience or theknowledge, skills and abilities to succeed in the role
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP(Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points), SOP (StandardOperating Procedure), SSOP (Standard Sanitary OperationalProcedure) and requirements; or ability to learn and apply newconcepts quickly
  • Proficient in safety bestpractices and standards
  • Familiarity with operationsmetrics, such as yields, lbs. /birds per man hours (PMH), linespeeds, etc.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include closevision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and theability to adjust focus.

  • Working Conditions
  • Workwill be performed in a variety of conditions. Occasionally in aclimate-controlled office environment(s) and primarily in amanufacturing plant environment with varying conditions, such ascold areas, wet areas, warm areas, chemicals, and other siteconditions. This position requires the individual to wear and workin personal protective equipment while in the manufacturingenvironment.
  • The noise level of the officeenvironment is usually moderate; the noise level in themanufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearingprotection.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
