Computer skills Manufacturing Leadership Under 1 year Full Job Description The Supervisor Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Supervisor with all tasks associated with day-to-day operations, manufacturing needs, and Production Associate development and coaching. This will include directing and assigning tasks, training new employees, running the area in the absence of the supervisor, and conducting and/or assisting with performance reviews. 2nd Shift Hours = 2:30pm – 11:50pm.

What You Will Do At Acme:

Assist the supervisor with directing workload based on the production schedule. Ensure that equipment is operating to company efficiency and quality standards. Monitor product quality, and yields. Monitor employee performance standards and compliance and direct substandard performance to the supervisor or shift manager. Assist supervisor in performance reviews and provide verbal coaching and performance feedback to employees. Track verbal coaching’s as appropriate. Enforce company rules and policies and report any observed compliance issues (including safety, QA, FS) to supervisor (or could address directly with the employee if supervisor is not present). Complete production records, e.g. weight checks, etc. Make job assignments and workstation rotations to cross train all employees in all tasks. Enforce company rules and policies, consistently among all team members. Model respectful workplace, QA, FS and other policies encouraging and expecting feedback from others. Maintain clean and safe work areas for employees. Ability to backfill for absences on the line as needed. Backfill for supervisor during PTO and other absences, as needed. Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time. Ensure respectful workplace and teamwork are maintained within the group. Promptly address any issues. Maintain confidentiality regarding performance and other information. Other duties as assigned.

Your Education & Experience:

Excellent work history, showing positive attendance and tenure. High School diploma or Equivalent. 3-5 years of previous manufacturing and/or production experience; food production preferred. Ability to work and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience using manufacturing software (Seasoft, InforM3 and similar platforms).

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing. Frequent hand motion. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times. Ability to work in temperatures in upper 30’s(F) range with air flow from refrigeration units. Exposure to low level of noise due to close proximity to the work area. Exposure to uneven ground; floor angles toward the drainage systems. Light machinery operated in work area.

Observe and follow all safety rules. Wear required PPE. Follow mandated OSHA regulations. Report all incidents including near misses immediately.
