Operations Manger Skip’s Truck & Trailer Archdale, NC 27263 Operations Manager Skip’s Truck and Trailer, a leading installer of Conestoga trap systems and repairs are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production/Operations/Shop Manage to join our team and drive our operations to new heights. Are you passionate overseeing all aspects of the installation/repair process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety? This role requires a strategic and energetic leader who has production experience and can manage a diverse team, optimize production processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Responsibilities :
- Managing shop operations insuring projects are completed on time and in budget.
- Maintaining a presence on the shop floor and giving feedback to employees for on time project completion
- Prioritize and manage production schedules based on optimized efficiencies, promised delivery, and equipment efficiency & materials supply.
- Communication to office admin for invoicing
- Manage employee time and attendance for timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Lead coach and participate on teams to accomplish individual, department and divisional objectives. Objectives may include quality improvements, operating expenses, inventory targets, production goals, equipment run time, and on-time shipments.
- Finding solutions to problems/working with office on resolution that arise without taking the time away on delivery
- Customer communications. Fullbay (shop erp system) notes are accurate and up to date
- Mechanical knowledge/skills
Job Type:
Full-time- Monday to Friday
- Expected hours: No less than 45 per week Monday to Friday (Sat OT as needed)
Qualifications:
- Leadership experience
- Logistics/Transportation skills
- Computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite
- 1-3 years’ experience in a similar management role for a shop/repair/manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment with increased level of change :
- 2-3 years previous supervisory experience
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the plant organization.
- Problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
