Summary The Production Supervisor oversees the plant personnel, production flow, material handling, shipping receiving, quality control and ensures compliance with all manufacturing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace is maintained at all times
Responsible for training of operators, both new hires and current employees
Assign work to employees
Communicate the team’s time and attendance to the department manager
Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance
Achieve the required company quality standards
Undertake performance supervision responsibility for team members conducting appraisals and giving direction to aid good performance
Lead and motivate the team to create a high-performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced
Report and act upon plant or machinery breakdowns to technicians immediately
Assist with incident and accident investigations
Monitor equipment and take appropriate steps when equipment is down
Responsible for running machines as needed
Adjust self-work schedule as needed to assist the team with the workload
Perform other duties as assigned
Keep the production area(s) clean and clear of clutter
Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum High School diploma. A minimum of 5 years of management experience overseeing a minimum of 15 employees, preferably in a printing capacity. Strong computer skills are a must, including file-to-print processes. Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement concepts and process management skills. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

Collaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals. Working Conditions Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb. In addition, requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
