SUMMARY:
This position is a highly respected role within our production group, and provides an excellent opportunity to join a high performing, growing and forward thinking manufacturing organization. On second shift, this supervisor will manage all production activities and resources according to established quality and production performance standards. Effectively participate in the formulation and carrying out ofpany policies, objectives and programs for major functions. Directs and coordinates the work of subordinates in order to attain objectives. Actively promotes teamwork atmosphere and supports team development. Enforces 5S standards and drives the production group towards meeting key daily, weekly and quarterly metrics. Responsible for the training and safe working conditions of employees. This leader is expected to embody and demonstrate our core values of honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate citizenship.
DESCRIPTION

Coordinate equipment and personnel schedule to align withpany goals and ensure daily production goals are met.
Take direction from Manufacturing Manager on 5S projects, quality improvements and other production group projects as needed.
Partner with engineering and continuous improvement team on machining processes to ensure quality standards and productivity goals are met.
Oversight of all second shift personnel on duty in the facility.
Oversee and drive continuous improvement objectives.
Ensure the health and wellness of all second shift personnel and enforcepany policy and oversee Safety training efforts.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressingplaints and resolving problems.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration ormensurate with experience.
3-5 years of progressive supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Possess good written/oralmunications skills, as well as the ability to present his/her views in a clear andpelling manner across all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities in a fast- paced environment.
Working experience within a manufacturing facility that embraces and implements 5S methodologies.
Strong technical acumen to include MS Office, Microsoft Dynamics; a proven ability to leverage technology to the advantage of the business.
Demonstrated problem analysis and problem- solving skills.
Great people skills with the ability to lead a team with professionalism, enthusiasm and empathy.
