Full Job Description Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Group Leader to join our team. This key role is responsible for training new hires, coordinating daily production schedules, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations on the manufacturing floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Onboarding Train all new hires in work procedures, safety protocols, quality expectations, and standard manufacturing practices. Ensure that operators fully understand routing and process requirements. Monitor individual performance and behavior, keeping the department manager informed. Resolve assembly-related issues as they arise and escalate when necessary. Scheduling & Production Coordination Review open order reports (F-Series and O-Series) daily. Distribute work orders to appropriate stations in a timely manner. Ensure timely completion of all work orders, meeting required due dates. Communicate delays or issues to the Customer Service department to manage customer expectations. Prepare tooling and equipment in advance for upcoming jobs. Quality Assurance Promote a culture of quality throughout the department. Reinforce standards and best practices to ensure consistent product excellence. Safety Compliance Ensure all work is carried out with safety as the top priority. Report any unsafe conditions or potential hazards to the department manager promptly. Inventory & Supplies Track shop supplies and monitor the shelf life of chemicals and consumables. Notify the department manager of inventory needs or shortages.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Why Join Us?
