Our new 120ksf state of the art facility in Exeter New Hampshire is fullyoperational and will raise the bar in high precision manufacturing- come and join us! This position is responsible for overseeing the1st shift production manufacturing team encompassing CNC productionmachinists, deburring, and finishing. This role is responsible formanaging daily operations to support on-time customer delivery,mentoring, coaching, and supervising employees, and ensuringcompany policies and procedures are being followed for safety,quality, and 5s initiatives. The ideal candidate for this will havea strong hands-on background in CNC machining processes andtechnologies to organize, plan, execute, and troubleshootmanufacturing processes on order to achieve departmental goals.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities:

Strive toward a culture of proactive safety. As aleader, build a culture of integrity and openness. Exemplify thehighest standard of conduct and ethical behavior. Responsible forthe on-time delivery of both machined piece part and post brazedmachines assemblies completed through the CNC machining departmentas determined by planning. Maximize labor efficiency, laboreffectiveness and machine utilization through effective workassignments and machine scheduling and planning. Achieve a thoroughunderstanding of the equipment, processes, capabilities, andconstraints within area assigned and make decisions to eliminateconstraints and exploit opportunities. Ensure employees withinassigned area are following company policies and procedures acrossmanufacturing, quality, safety, and 5s standards and guidelines.

Perform all administrative supervisory tasks of weekly payrollapprovals, scheduling employee time-off, design individual goalsand track performance throughout year to complete annualevaluations. Maintain a daily understanding of where all the jobsfor key customer orders are within your department and when youbelieve you can complete them through all operation steps.

Communicate and escalate maintenance, manufacturing process, andcomponent quality issues to employees within the appropriatedepartment to facilitate problem solving and process continuation.

Support and empower assigned employees, providing guidance onleadership and personnel performance issues to maximize individualand departmental performance. Facilitate, organize, and supportlean daily management initiatives within area to track and reportperformance across personnel, output, safety, quality andmaintenance. Address and escalate production, equipment, andpersonnel-related issues as necessary

Requirements:

High School orGED graduate is required. A Bachelors or Associates level degree ina science major is highly desired. Minimum of 5 years of experiencein a CNC machining environment with a focus on 3-5 axis verticaland horizontal milling is required. Previous supervisory experiencewith direct labor reports is required. Ability to effectivelyassign and delegate tasks and influence team performance isrequired. Proficiency using MS Office applications (Outlook, Word,Excel, PowerPoint) for communication, data collection, analysis,and presentation is required. Strong communication skills, with theability to present complex ideas simply and effectively isrequired. Previous experience using an ERP system (Oracle, SAP,Infor, ECI Jobboss / E2) is highly desired. Experience with TPSlean-management principals including lean daily management, machinesetup reduction, manufacturing process-flow, visual shop-floormanagement, and continuous improvement is highly desired.

Understanding of

ASME Y14.5

drawing interpretation is highlydesired. Experience working within an AS9100 aerospace and defenseis highly desired. Experience with operational metrics (keyperformance indicators) and employee performance / talentmanagement is desired.
