Floor Manager-Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
Manages operations of production areas to ensure that culture, volume, cost, waste, safety and quality standards are achieved. Follows overall production schedules to manage staffing and establish daily and shift production goals. Monitors shift production metrics to identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements. Coordinates maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed. Ensures that staff training processes, equipment, gear, and tool requirements are fulfilled to comply with health and safety regulations. Coaches teams in best practices to provide a safe and efficient work environment and resolve escalated issues and problems. Key Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve efficiency and minimize waste.
Ensure that production goals are met within the specified timeline Manage, train, and mentor production staff to maximize performance and maintain high morale.
Lead, mentor, and motivate production teams to maximize performance.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans when necessary.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ensure all products meet quality standards Promote and enforce a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety policies. Lead initiatives to reduce workplace hazards and improve overall safety culture.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement Lean or Six Sigma. principles. Evaluate and integrate new technologies and equipment to enhance production efficiency.
Coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure timely availability of raw materials. Generate production reports and present updates to senior management.
Manages shift supervisors with an indirect oversight of production employees
Is accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function
Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
Decisions are guided by policies and procedures
Education & Experience:
• 8+ years leadership experience
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience

Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties. This ability to communicate requires the employee to be conversant in English as the majority of our workforce and the third parties that we encounter only speak English.
