Production Planning Supervisor

Summary:

This position will be responsible for owning, driving, and managing the vendor level production plan and ensures cross-functional involvement/alignment with all key stakeholders and that plans are executed, as agreed by the leadership team, to meet operational objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leads vendor level production planning team as the primary contact for matters in regard to production status and schedule changes.
Leads vendor level production planning team to ensure production work orders are released to production floor per the master production schedule.
Monitors the production plans daily to ensure it fully supports the master production schedule and continually meets customer service goals, operational targets, inventory levels, and capacity utilization objectives.
Continuously drive efficiency, improve productivity, and optimize scheduling. Facilitate and track schedule changes and communicate those changes to production planners and operations.
Work with internal vendor production planners to validate capacity of equipment and resources.
Ensures there is cross-functional involvement/alignment with all key stakeholders.
Will attend the production planning bi-weekly catch-up meeting and provide the requested information according to the standing agenda.
Helps facilitate labor moves between vendor divisions as appropriate Attends all client CI meetings and others as required
Coaches and guides Production Planners, in New Hampshire and Connecticut (multi-site responsibility)

Qualifications:

Prior Manufacturing experience required
Familiarity and experience with Production and Material Planning activities Able to build strong relationships, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills
Prior Supervisory Experience preferred
Travel required (approx. 25%) All Employees Shall
Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements
Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards
Attend scheduled EH&S training program
Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans
Recommend improved EH&S practices Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties. This ability to communicate requires the employee to be conversant in English as the majority of our workforce and the third parties that we encounter only speak English.
