POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Molding Manager, this position will be responsible for standard operating/production procedures, safety, quality control, delivery and continuous improvement initiatives of the designated area. Position of supervision/management that will provide support and leadership within the Manufacturing Department. Will also provide support and assistance to other departments as necessary.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
To supervise manufacturing Team and be responsible for the overall operations for assigned area for the assigned shift. To lead improvements activities for quality, delivery, cost and safety objectives and will support continuous improvement through Kaizen. To be Responsible for work force planning and scheduling. To identifying and mange needs and training and development for department team members. To Hold team members accountable to company policies fairly and consistently. To Assist or perform machine troubleshooting and repairs, set-ups, tool changes, preventative maintenance and routine machine checks. To Address mechanical, operational, and technical downtime issues within department To Train, motivate and mentor employees To Conduct training of new and existing employees To Supervise employees in the day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality and productivity To Maintain and improve production throughput and work with Production Manager to maintain direct labor cost To Provide support for on the job assignments and continuous improvement initiatives To Ensure Company policies, safety, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Policies (GMPs) are implemented, understood and followed To Maintain a positive working environment among employees To Maintain all required logs and reporting documentation and adhere to all safety procedures To Adhere to all Company safety regulations and policies To Responsible for maintaining production efficiencies and meeting the set goals for relevant KPI’S. INCPNA Qualifications:
Qualifications A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role with a strong background in conflict resolution and people development Good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Labor Laws Conflict Resolution Management and Time Management skills Strong communication, organizational, problem solving, teamwork interpersonal and leadership skills Proficient computer skills Effective use of technology, instruments, tools and information systems. Previous experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methods and tools a plus Previous experience with Troubleshooting processes, 5 Why, 8D or other is a plus. Technical training a plus; mechanical and/or electrical Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility is preferred Results driven, effective decision maker Ability to work any shift as needed Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate accurately and professionally with all levels of the organization Compensation is from 70,000 USD to 80,000 USD per year
