Overview:

We custom manufacture complete systems for storefronts, curtain walls, skylights, interior glass walls, solariums, sunrooms, and a broad spectrum of exterior and interior architectural metal components. We’ve been manufacturing and fenestration quality products for over 35 years and have graced many notable buildings in the New York Metropolitan Area since 1986. Gamco is currently looking for a full time Assistant Production Manager to join our growing Production Team. You will focus on Assisting in the development and implementation of production schedules, management of materials, equipment, and labor resources to ensure smooth production operations, and Lastly supervising production staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management. Experience in architectural metal and glass is a Required. Learning is accomplished through on-the-job training. Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and in a timely manner is required.

Additional duties and responsibilities include:

Duties :

Assisting in the development and implementation of production schedules to meet customer orders and inventory targets. This involves coordinating with different departments including sales, purchasing to ensure timely and efficient production. Analyzing and improving production processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high-quality standards. Assisting in the management of materials, equipment, and labor resources to ensure smooth production operations. This includes ensuring that machinery is properly maintained, and that production staff have the tools and materials they need. Monitoring inventory levels to ensure that raw materials and finished products are available as needed, without overstocking or understocking. You’ll work with the supply chain team to manage inventory efficiently. Maintaining accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and quality metrics. This information is used for reporting to management and for continuous improvement efforts. Assisting in managing production costs by identifying areas where expenses can be reduced without compromising quality or efficiency.

Calculating Bill of Materials Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field is a Plus. 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment within the fenestration industry. Experience with production planning and scheduling . Experience with quality control and assurance in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with CAD software and an understanding of technical drawings and specifications related to fenestration products. Knowledge of fenestration products (windows, doors, etc.) and industry standards is required. Bilingual Chinese/English is
