Position Objective:

This position is dedicated to enhancing production efficiency, maintaining high product quality, and supporting both ongoing manufacturing efforts and operational improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in injection molding and process optimization. Responsibilities

• Support, develop and improve the current manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Document processes and procedures.
• Identify problem areas for improvement and present action plans to achieve desired results.
• Optimize processes in an extrusion manufacturing facility to improve run efficiencies, product quality and provide reductions in product defects and material waste.
• Responsible for tracking and maintain various process metrics.
• Adapt existing processes to new materials to support new products.
• Interface with vendors and customers as required.
• Support the Operations group daily.
• Drive productivity improvements through SMED and TPM activities
• Direct on-site contact for group wide technology specific topics.
• Other projects and assignments as requested by the management team.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a BS degree in plastics related discipline
• Problem Solving techniques.
• Experience working in LEAN manufacturing.
• Excellent computer skills using MS Office Suite -Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated and have excellent organizational skills.
• Proven process building and implementation through training of others.
• Strong willingness to share improvement ideas across all technologies on-site.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel to work on equipment.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.

Working Conditions:

• May work with all tools/equipment available at maintenance shop.
• Daily exposure to cleaning solutions, grease.
