Position Summary:
The Foundry Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. This role supports a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures; ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Support and model company values, behaviors, and culture initiatives. Supervise and guide production team members to meet daily operational goals. Lead daily team meetings to communicate goals and promote safety and collaboration. Schedule work, assign tasks, and manage workflow to meet production targets. Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to standards. Collaborate with other supervisors to ensure smooth handoffs and production flow. Identify and address equipment issues or product defects. Train employees on machinery, safety procedures, and job responsibilities. Analyze production data and track performance metrics. Address employee concerns in coordination with management or HR. Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality. Manage employee schedules and timekeeping records. Document performance issues and administer discipline when necessary. May be required to work assigned shifts and perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a foundry, manufacturing or production environment. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Supervisory Expectations:
Provide clear direction and support to team members. Promote employee development and address concerns proactively. Motivate the team and recognize performance. Manage attendance, time off, and shift coverage.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to interpret and apply work instructions, safety rules, and production data. Basic math and analytical skills; ability to interpret reports and graphs. Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, and handling materials. Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats as required. $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
