Job Summary :
Express Employment Professionals is searching for a Melt Blown Lead to oversee the safe and efficient operation of melt-blown (MB) machines, ensuring high-quality production while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role includes managing production schedules, supervising team members, and maintaining compliance with
ISO 9001
procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, and experienced in melt-blown production.

W-Sat 7am-7pm $25HR.-$28HR. Major Responsibilities A. Maintain safety and cleanliness in the workplace. B. Ensure quality and efficient production of work orders on MB machines. C. Manage production records, test results, retain samples, and detailed notes. D. Supervise Co-Lead, assign machine responsibilities, and manage temporary staff. E. Adhere to
ISO 9001
procedures and identify opportunities for system improvements.
Specific Responsibilities Safety and Equipment Operation :
Safely operate equipment and ensure all tools and loose parts are stored properly. File accurate accident reports promptly. Improve efficiency and safety in machine operations. Set up, adjust, test, and shut down/start up machinery for consistent quality. Load machines with raw materials, including resin from railcars, silos, or storage, in coordination with the Resin Coordinator.
Documentation and Quality Control :
Complete and maintain accurate production records and computer data (e.g., Syteline). Retain production samples and isolate non-conforming products. Maintain test machinery and perform shift change checklists.
Team Supervision :
Direct machine tenders, allocate tasks, and identify candidates for promotion. Provide training and relieve operators during breaks. Control security for visitors, including truck drivers.
Process Oversight :
Adjust defined processes when errors occur, ensuring proper documentation (e.g., generating waivers and production notes). Maintain mill standards and high-quality production outputs.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking). Strong basic math and computer literacy skills. Capable of lifting 150 lbs (with assistance). Accurate record-keeping and mechanical aptitude. Fork and Clamp Truck operation certified (preferred). First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
Experience:
At least three years of melt-blown production operation experience (preferred).
