Job Summary:

The Operations Manager oversees all aspects of a company’s daily operations in (a) Microelectronics assembly, (b) End-of-Line Testing, (c) Quality Assurance, (d) Project Management, and (e) Metrics-driven performance; ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance. They are responsible for safety, planning, resource allocation, team management, and continuous improvement. Ultimately, they strive to optimize operations to achieve company goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Planning:

Develop and implement operational strategies to meet business goals.

Process Management:

Ensure production objectives are met within the approved budget, schedules, and quality specifications.

Team Leadership:

Hire, train, and supervise team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they are successful. Facilitate regular production meetings to review order progress and to resolve outstanding order issues to meet on-time shipment commitments.

Resource Allocation:

Manage resources (people, equipment, materials) to ensure efficient operations.

Budget Management:

Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans.

Compliance Enforcement:

Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.

Quality Assurance:

Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain product and service quality.

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve operational issues to ensure smooth and effective operations.

Performance Monitoring:

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.

Working with others:

Work closely with other company departments and leaders, such as Engineering and Manufacturing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Business from an accredited institution Four or more years of proven success in an operations management role Experience in microelectronics assembly a must Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organization control Proficiency in conflict management Working knowledge of management software programs, including Microsoft Office, D365 or SAP ERP, SuccessFactor, and Concur Due to the nature of Amplifier Research programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
