Summary While keeping safety at the forefront – overseesElectric and Instrument Shop operation to ensure efficientcoordination of installations, maintenance andtroubleshooting/repairs of all mill equipment while followingestablished procedures and mill policies. Continually upgradeemployee skills to meet the demands of new technology andelectrical safety. Provide for the effective and timely completionof maintenance work through coordination with other E&Isupervisor, planners and operations coordinators. Role andResponsibilities Champions Safety in Every Aspect of the PositionEnsure Completion of all Incident (Substandard Conditions, NearMiss, Injuries, Observations, etc.) Investigations Ensure a highlevel of awareness and employee compliance for the company’sElectrical Safety Policy Ensure Environmental Systems ProcessAwareness and Compliance Understands and Administers Company PolicyResponsible for next level conflict resolution and maintainingneeded staffing levels Supports Apprenticeship Program by Auditingthe Process Must Demonstrate Good Communication Skills Throughoutthe Organization Responsible for Employee On-boarding Responsiblefor Succession Planning Must maintain effective workingrelationships with operations, other Maintenance personnel,vendors, contractors and engineers Work closely with Engineering,production and other departments, at all levels of supervision,throughout the plant in making estimates, determining priorities,scheduling and managing shop personnel Maintain Awareness of WorkOrder Backlog – Indentify Deficiencies and ImprovementOpportunities. Monitors Daily/Weekly Progress of Scheduled Work(DCC) Evaluates and Manages the Collection of Job Feedback toImprove Future Work Assist other E&I Supervisor, as needed,with Daily Shop Operation Is accountable to review and approve alldiscretionary spend in the shops along with: purchase requisitions,shipping requisitions, authority to stock, etc. Writes and reviewspurchase requisitions, reviews and approves job invoices, auditsinvoices and VMI activities and manages spend in the maintenancedepartment within approved budgets Input to Capital Budgetingprocess along with recommending replacements, upgrades and/or theaddition of equipment to minimize maintenance costs and downtimeInput to all Outages Contact Person for Coordination of ContractorActivity and Vendor Visits Serves in the On-Call SupervisorRotation Demonstrates Forward Thinking Must be able to handledeadlines, variable workloads and be on call 24-hours when neededProactive in driving continuous improvement through Scheduling,PM/PdM (Reliability Improvement) and 6S Ensure Shop EquipmentContinually Meets ISO Standards Executes Continuous Improvementprograms; acts as a change agent. Participates in RCFA process anddrives reliability into the business. Qualifications Journeymanlevel certification in a state recognized apprentice program orequivalent work experience is desired Must have the ability tomanage people Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in anindustrial environment Must have above average communicationskills, both written and oral Above average computer skillsincluding a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products SAP,SAP-PM or other software experience is required Ability to workboth independently and as a team member Knowledge of safety hazardsand appropriate precautions applicable to work assignments Abilityto wear respirator safety equipment Ability to wear protectiveclothing as required by prevailing conditions Ability to performmathematical computations for design, layouts, drawings,tolerances, fabrication, estimating and purchasing Ability to read,interpret and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs,reports and manuals. Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvaniadriver’s license While performing the duties of this job theemployee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel,reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; taste or smell; theemployee is frequently required to sit; the employee isoccasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance and stoop,kneel, crouch or crawl.

closevision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception,ability to adjust focus and the ability to wear appropriate visionprotection. The noise level in the work environment requires theuse of appropriate hearing protection
