As a 12-Hour Rotating Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of approximately 30 hourly union employees in a fiberglass yarn manufacturing plant. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining safety standards, ensuring operational efficiency, and achieving production targets while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and Lead:
Direct and coordinate the activities of hourly union employees on the production floor to ensure adherence to production targets and quality standards.
Safety Compliance:
Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring all employees follow safety protocols and guidelines. Conduct regular safety audits and address any hazards promptly.
Production Oversight:
Monitor and manage production processes to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
Employee Development:
Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to employees. Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.
Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve operational issues and challenges in a timely manner. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Communication:
Maintain clear and effective communication with employees, management, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Conduct regular shift meetings to discuss performance, goals, and any concerns.
