Shift Supervisor Job DescriptionRole Summary:

The day Shift Supervisor is responsible for supporting the operation and overseeing staff and production occurring between 06:45 am and 3:15 pm. In addition to the below, there will be other duties as assigned.

Role Requirements:

The day Shift Supervisor must possess the aptitude and ability to

• Work in the department as a team member to achieve production, quality, cycle-time and cost standards, providing leadership in achieving individual department team goals
• Collaborate with Lead to complete performing periodically written evaluations of team member performance
• Provides leadership and gives direction to team members. Steps in for team members when needed
• Receive and execute both written and verbal work instructions from Management
• Encourage, compliment, motivate, discipline, teach and train staff in accordance with standard operating procedures and guidance from Management
• Recommend or initiate corrective actions when needed
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment for all employees at all times
• Assume the hands-on responsibilities of a production employee when short-staffed
• Be visible and accessible throughout the shift to team members of the production floor
• Operate, inspect, weigh, load, label, replenish, clean, shut down equipment and product as needed for production and safety
• Lift heavy objects, stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk, and hear
• Work a reasonable amount of overtime and weekends
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications
• Manufacturing experience required
• Maintenance or some machine knowledge a plus.[EEO is The Law
