Job Description

Compound Bending Technician Pegasus Steel – Keel 1 Alliance Drive, Goose Creek, SC 29445

Description:

Responsible for performing compound forming. Other duties may be assigned. Programs the machine from blueprints to process plate. Accountable for the safety and well-being of the employees assigned to her/his team. Responsible for implementation and maintenance of the 5S housekeeping system within the assigned work cell(s). Accountable for delivering a product that meets the customer’s (external or internal) specification. Promotes teamwork within department. Troubleshoot and determine corrective action for machinery when necessary. Working knowledge of all subordinate positions in order to fill in when needed. Ensures all documentation are completed accurately and are turned in on time. In the event that this task is delegated, Supervisor must ensure that the task is completed. Provides direction and assistance in

ISO 9001

related activities.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Prefers a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience. Must have 5 years of Press Brake programming from blueprints experience in the steel fabrication or processing industry. Must be able to be certified for forklift and crane operations and maintain this certification annually. Must be able to effectively communicate with outside sources in written and verbal formats. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs and maneuver 200lbs independently. Must be able to read blueprints. EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED minimum requirement. Must have 5 years of experience operating a press brake.
