ABOUT THE ROLE

Support and maintain the plant safety program through day-to-daysafety contacts with employees and department safety meetings,ensure assigned work areas are safe and safety requirements areobserved.

Position Shift Hours:

12 hour shifts 7am – 7pm and 7pm – 7am,DuPont rotating shift schedule

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

Maintain continual observation of operation of all the variousprocesses through recordings and indications of the control system,monitors and visual observation when necessary. Supervise process and hourly employees and work closely withlab technicians. Ensure that quality and environmental ISO standards aremet. Assure that a consistent, quality product is being producedthrough interaction with the quality control department and throughthe review of laboratory test results on clinker and cement. Take corrective action as necessary and report and recommendsolutions for production problem areas. Assure the regular inspection and evaluation of all operatingequipment to help maintain production requirements. Use SAP system to issue work and material requisitions, hourlyemployee time entry and other required system information. Work to keep costs related to work in line with the plantbudget and be alert for ways to reduce costs of operations,maintenance and repairs. Ensure good housekeeping is maintained in assigned workareas. Ensure that dock unloading practices are done safely andefficiently. Will be required to work rotating shift. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving andadhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all workenvironments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibitthese behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Field of Study Preferred:

Industry related field preferred.

Required Work Experience:

3-5 years in cement operation.

Required Computer and Software Skills:

Knowledge of processingmethods and appropriate planning techniques. Proficiency withExcel, Word and PowerPoint.

Additional Requirements:

Previous supervisory experience. Knowledge of processingmethods and appropriate planning techniques. Problem solving andanalytical skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret generalbusiness periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures,or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, businesscorrespondence, and procedure manuals. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols andproper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment(“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Employees thatare required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where therespirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative andquantitative fit tests.
