0 3.0 out of 5 stars Lexington, SC 29072 Responsible for organizing and coordinating all vocational training, acting within limits defining by standard practices and instruction. Responsible for the evaluation and placement of individuals for various jobs in the workshop, assists individuals in appropriate tasks and facilitates adequate job training and supervision responsible for maintaining an adequate level of supplies and equipment. Responsible for assisting with the preparation of goals, individual objectives, and documenting individual’s progress by completing monthly progress reports by a specified date. Implements a quality control program to assure production of top-quality products. Conducts time studies on a semi-annual basis on all individuals. Attends initial Burton Center staff orientation, staff meetings, in services, and workshop that are necessary to enhance job performance. Supervises personnel involved in selecting, utilization, and evaluation of individual workers. Services as a liaison with local industries to maintain contacts and secure additional contacts within the scope of the production capabilities of the individuals. Completes time and payroll records for all workshop individuals. Completes staff evaluations. Provide Direct Care and Drive Routes as necessary. Completes staffing sheet and VSA sheet for individuals. Completes monthly production reports. Completes inventory for contract supplies.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Experience:
2 years supervisory experience in areas dealing with individuals with disabilities and special needs, as well as experience in production operations preferred.
Licenses:
Valid SC driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
Good visual acuity, manipulates equipment or supplies, oral and written communication skills
Other Requirements:
Basic mathematical skills, adding machine experience
