OBJECTIVE A
Fabrication Manager in a steel plant plays a crucial role in overseeing the fabrication process and ensuring the quality and efficiency of production. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with this position:
Primary Responsibilities Supervision and Training:
Oversee and train fabrication personnel to ensure high-quality manufacturing and adherence to safety standards
Quality Control:
Implement and monitor quality control measures for all equipment, parts orders, and work orders
Productivity Management:
Supervise manufacturing activities to achieve optimum productivity and accuracy
Problem-Solving:
Actively participate in problem-solving teams to address manufacturing issues and improve processes
Scheduling:
Manage job, work order, and parts order scheduling to ensure timely production
Safety:
Maintain a safe workplace and foster a culture of attention to health and safety
Interdepartmental Coordination:
Interface with other departments such as engineering, purchasing, processing, shipping, and sales
Qualifications and Requirements Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in technical drawings, blueprints, welding, and fabrication techniques
Leadership:
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop employees
Experience:
Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in metal fabrication
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite .
