Job Summary:
The position will be responsible for supervising all aspects of manufacturing at our injection molding facility in Sumter, SC on a 3-2-2-3-shift. Must be willing to work either day or night shift & flexible to work outside of normal schedule as needed. The position will be responsible for 97 injection presses while working closely with engineering, quality control, purchasing, and other departments to ensure efficient and cost-effective production of medical devices.
Responsibilities:
1) Coordinate with engineering/Maintenance department to reduce machine downtime as well as PM & production schedules.
2) Monitor existing products for process deviations and initiate corrective action as needed.
3) Respond to customerplaints regarding quality or delivery.
4) Work with Quality Control department to resolve any issues related to non-conforming material.
5) Develop training programs for operators and maintenance personnel.
6) Ensurepliance with FDA regulations and GMPs.
7) Perform regular audits of the manufacturing floor to identify potential safety hazards or quality problems.
8) Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing, logistics, and inventory control to optimize supply chain efficiency.
9) Assist in the development of annual budgets and capital expenditure plans.
10) Participate in cross functional teams focused on continuous improvement projects.
11) Proven track record reducing waste & driving Safety.
11) Additional duties as assigned by Manufacturing Unit Leader.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 4 years experience in injection molding required
Experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment or Tier 1 Automotive strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of plastics injection molding processes desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
