Volunteer Welding Supply , a leading distributor of industrial, medical and specialty gases plus welding and safety supplies in Tennessee, is seeking a Plant Supervisor to join the team in Nashville, TN . If you have at least 3 years of management or supervisory experience in a plant/production environment, experience using Microsoft Office products, and bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience , Volunteer wants to hear from you! Experience with Industrial Gases, DOT and FDA is preferred. Experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred. This is a critical role where you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Fill Plant through an engaged workforce while achieving Safety, Quality, Budget and Schedule goals. Essential duties/responsibilities:

Responsible for establishing a safe workplace through employee involvement. Identifies, evaluates and addresses environmental, health and safety concerns and issues. Ensures products meets specifications. Analyzes non-conformance to root cause and implements corrective action Minimizes waste and costs ensuring compliance to established budgets. Assigns work to support on time delivery. Coach, develop and communicate with employees creating an environment where employees are engaged in the business Enforces company policy and ensures SOPs are followed Provides or otherwise assigns training to assure processes and standards are met Drives continuous improvement initiatives Works collaboratively with other managers to achieve business objectives Prepares documentation as necessary and maintains records.
