We’re looking for a 1st Shift Production Supervisor to join our team at our Greeneville, TN manufacturing facility – the hours for this role would be 7:00am – 3:00pm. In this role, you’ll collaborate with team leads to drive efficiency and productivity, provide hands-on leadership on the production floor, and report directly to the Production Manager. We’re seeking candidates who are ready to make a difference and are available to work onsite daily in Greeneville, TN.
Role Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead assigned production department(s) including assignment of work to attain key metrics (safety, quality, delivery and cost). Coach employees on safety improvements, department inspections and follow-up on identified issues. Complete performance management processes for all hourly employees. Assist with development and management of the department’s budget. Promote teamwork while coaching employees through the problem-solving process to identify problem areas including manufacturing processes, reducing set up time, equipment problems and scrap reduction. Train employees on safety procedures, methods, problem solving, prints, programming, quality requirements and team methods. Audit product quality for compliance with established systems and standards; implements corrective action as necessary. Resolve employee relations issues through effective remediation techniques using applicable company policies and procedures. Promote and implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives and techniques
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma 5+ years of manufacturing, production, quality and/or engineering experience (or a combination of course work/education and relevant work experience) 2+ years of prior leadership or supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or higher degree in business, leadership or other relevant field 3+ years of production supervisory experience Experience in Oracle and Workday.
