Our Client, an Automotive Manufacturing company, is looking for a Production Supervisor/Group Leader for their Spring Hill, TN location.
Responsibilities:
The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.
Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
Supervisor is going to manage 25 to 35 people.
There are 14 leaders that help assist, but they’re hourly and we’re the ones that are like the last line of defense where we inspect the cars that production puts the parts on.
We ensure that they meet the standards that company has outlined.
The GL for quality will be responsible for holding people accountable to production standards, following up on their own quality, following up on their own quality.
Additionally, they will handle timekeeping daily and following certain processes, finding defects and actioning on them.
GL on the production side will worry about putting parts on the car, and making rate, and maintain quality metrics.
GL will oversee 25 to 35 team members for the standardized group for either production or quality.
Requirements:
Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
GED and High School Diploma.
However, any advance level of degree is preferred.

2 to 3 years manufacturing experience in group leading in Production and or Quality.
