Production Lead Summary:
The Production Lead reports to the Production Shift Manager. This position assists in leading Production Lines and supervises 25 + employees on this shift. Focus is on achieving maximum quality and efficiency.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates strong leadership abilities through motivating others to reach goals and continuously improve. Works with Production Manager and other supervisors to implement production plans, priorities, quality standards, production cycles, machine maintenance and other production concerns. Perform daily assessments of work area to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved. Train and mentor other associates on Company processes and policies. Lead start-up meetings discussing daily production goals, quality concerns, company announcements, etc. Coaching and counseling your team in aspects regarding safety, attendance, efficiency, training, and quality. Actively partner with Human Resources in reporting accidents, near misses, investigations, etc. Assigns tasks and rotates personnel according to their abilities and production priorities. Capable of performing activities of workers supervised. Working alongside your team on the line as needed. Rotating to various positions as needed. Assisting in the Employee Evaluation process of your team. Follows and enforces all company policies and procedures. Ability to set up, breakdown, operate, and troubleshoot all equipment within your scope of responsibility. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams as well as mentor, empower and elicit work output from peers and other team members Previous Leadership Experience in a High-Volume Manufacturing Environment.
