Summary/Objective:

The Cutting Technician works in a manufacturing environment and performs cutting operation work by loading and moving material bundles within the cutting department, spreading rolled goods per ply height and length guidelines, and cutting or trimming garment parts for production.

Key Responsibilities:

Places identification numbers on cut garment parts, scans cut tickets and roll labels. Loads fabric rolls, spreads and enters material usage per cut ticket for proper ply height and length. Visually inspect quality of fabric during spreading operation for possible flaws or defects. Positions pattern or template on material and manually cuts out garment parts. Die cuts small parts and uses manual punch to mark drill holes. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Intermediate computer skills to include ERP software. Basic math skills including an advanced understanding of units of measure, fractions, and decimals. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or GED. Forklift experience preferred. Experience in operating a jig-saw/electrical knife/cutting experience preferred. Manufacturing experience preferred. Production experience preferred.
