Summary of Responsibilities:
Performs operations on engine parts per process planning. Operations may include the use of hand tools, operating some machines, and measuring/validating parts are conforming. Performs priming and painting of production parts per process panning. Performs engine disassembly and supports core reclamation per process planning. Media Blasting and Soda Blasting; working with Alodine and Phosphate Working with Crankshaft, Crankcase, Cylinder Heads and more.
Typical Duties:
Paint and prime production parts by following detailed work instructions. Parts must be able to conform to aerospace standards. Following detailed work instructions to perform operations. Using pneumatic tools and vibratory tumbler machines to deburr engine parts in production operation. Using washers and hand tools to clean engine parts. May assemble and disassemble parts to be machined. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Tools and Equipment Utilized:
Must meet physical requirements to wear respirators, face shields, apron, gloves, eye glasses and other protective equipment. Paint process equipment (paint gun, prep equipment) Precision measurement devices (Calipers, surface and depth gauges, go-no go gauges)
