Turret Punch Press Lead Person Matthews Industries, Inc. 23 2nd Street SW, Decatur, AL 35601 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Person to oversee operations in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with Amada turret punch presses, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. As a Lead Person, you will be responsible for guiding a team, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe working environment. Duties Supervise daily operations and coordinate activities of the production team to meet production goals. Operate and maintain turret punch presses and tooling. Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers for quality inspection of products. Ensure adherence to safety protocols while operating forklifts and other machinery. Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications and standards. Train new employees on equipment operation and safety procedures. Collaborate with management to identify areas for improvement in processes and workflows. Maintain accurate records of production activities and equipment maintenance. Requirements Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with mechanical knowledge. Proficiency in operating turret punch presses and forklifts. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
